I'm new to VB, and fairly new to PHP. I have all of the basics down, but I havn't been able to figure out a lot of VB's inner-workings yet.

I'm looking to make a plugin that does something VERY simple:

I want profile fields to be clickable and will lead to a certain URL. for example, with the location field, maybe something like this:

domain.com/somethinghere/salt+lake+city

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm sure it's just a hoook that i need to figure out, but I don't know where to start looking.
