so this is the better way.
eh. perhaps.... more better.... to generate a randomized string added to the url.... so, if the user forgot the password, theres no trouble getting a new one to leave the newsletter....

e.g. you could easily take the md5-password as an additional variable to the url? so this would authenticate the user? unsubscribe-link: xxxxxx.com/xxxxxx.php?uid=123&identify=3458a89ae94498934 ....
