one thing I could tell you for sure is that you need either a new design or improve the current one that you have.

Problem with the design:
it's not organized and it's not easy to the eyes, nothing really flows together well enough to keep the design together. And I think one thing to blame all this for is the ads that you have placed. Your forums at least look better, but your main index page doesn't, and that is the most important page or the page that you need to pay attention more.

As for everything else, it looks good, you got a well organized website that has room to expand, and honestly I think the only thing that is keeping it from growing is the current design.
