The Title for this thread is not very self explanatory (for an announcement thread) ...

Reeve of shinra, unless your referring to admins or mods who receive the first post of a thread, unless you're using the mail preview option, saving past posts into a folder for further reference, with the exception of for archival purposes seems pretty futile. ... unless I'm missing something here.
I might save specific replies as the ... =118737&goto=newpost ... enables one to find that post in a long thread.

Now I wish someone would find a way to include Username in From tag.
This is the biggest complaint I get from 'staff/members' who get all posts from a specific forum. (They're all from Forum X!)
This is another reason why yahoo type egroup listings are preferred by many for the simple fact that you can read/save/delete emails based on the username being clearly visible in From without need for using message preview etc.

Even further off the topic of date formatting is the frustration of having an international site and Americans reluctance of going metric.
I need to come up with a simple conversion chart accessable from the message posting interface for handy reference, as the only option is to include both when referring to ft/M and temperature.

What does it take around here to get a mod to split a thread. hehe
