You could easily edit the template, add the appropriate width of the columns, add a few images here and there, then add a few div tags with your own classes, update your css file and you're there. What would be very useful is some sort of step by step guide then people can do it for themselves. A large portion of people on here don't have the knowledge or confidence to go 'tampering' with templates - to them the contents of a template is like trying to read a foreign language.
