In all honesty looks a little messy at the moment. Whilst you have got a consistant color scheme throughout, which works well together, the current forum logo looks a little childish, and won't really appeal to your general target audience, whom judging by your forum choices appear to be slightly more older and refined.

Also the use of a 3D border might work well in small doses, but the excessive use you have implemented here makes the skin look cluttered and inaccessible. Don't be afraid to make use of the hover attribute either
