Problem with post layout

Hi,
i've got a little problem with vb and i don't know how to fix it.

The text of almost every post i insert into my forum fills about half the width of the space it could fill...

Post-count increment: where does vb do that?

Can someone tell me where does the code increment the post-count of a user on inserting a new reply?

i looked in newreply.php and functions_newpost.php but i couldn't find it
