Why not use flash and sockets for actual "INSTANT" messaging?
AJAX constant requests for a php page with a lot of members online would suck ass for the server.

It basically lets you put bookmarks in your posts using the [anchor] BBcode.
then you can make a link which jumps to the bookmarks using the [jump] tag

Konqueror uses the same javascript engine as safari so the only thing I can think of Jolten, is that you are using an old version of Safari that came...
