VB database pulls on nonvb pages

In 3.0.x, I used this code to pull calendar events...it no longer works in 3.5....Any ideas? I have several pages on my site broken for this same reason I suspect. Just not sure what changed :

Is there any way to use a conditional to check an image posted via [*img] tags and display the image if below a certain pixel width or display a link if over the limit?

... the whole point was to make the tables a fixed width, wider to look like ibforums. And also to move where the mods are, like ibforum..And thats what ive done!
