Correct, I think I coded this part and it really should be redone. In normal vb terms, I think a zero is used as "no restriction" but I went with -1. It sort of throws off how the permissions work....

I'm not positive this works with 3.72. Is the custom usergroup the primary usergroup for the user in question? This mod only looks at the primary usergroup.

The category permissions are not inherited from the parent to the child. Unless you specifically set a categories permissions, it will use the global permissions.
