How to call a plugin via a template?

A friend of mine created a simple plugin so i can sell some ads on my site, but I cant figure out how i call the plugin in a template.

Front end: Dual Xeon HT 2.66s, 3 gig of ram. SATA HD.

In the vB v3.0x archive, threads were listed newest first, in 3.5, threads are listed oldest first. I am trying to change my 3.5 archive so newest threads are listed first, oldest last. Can anyone...
