Modifying a forum to sort only by date of original threads...

Does anyone know how to do this? So that people cannot bump up threads?

I wouldnt mind a mod that would let it set...

I wouldnt mind a mod that would let it set certain groups to post html, not just admins.

How do I set a forum (say News) to not sort by last user post

I'd like the News forum to be only sorted by the original post date. I want to avoid people bumping up threads, but I dont want to close the topics....

I am trying to something that can grab topics off of a particular forum and rig them up on a news page (news.php). Hopefully it can auto archive news posts on a monthly basis...
