Found the problem..
My bad - wasn't the vbsoccer at all - was the plugin for vbExperience for vbSoccer points...
Guessing those scripts aren't being maintained either...
Sorted now.

Something was acting up in the JS that I couldn't track down and refreshes would just stop.
That and my IE users had bad display problems...

I agree it needs to snap to the bottom - but if the user has moved the scroll bar it (currently) will also snap every refresh or new...
