passing a forumid in phpinclude_start

in phpinclude_start (VB3.0.1), how can I push the forumid to an included php script?

in postbit, I have added
$GLOBALS[forum]
before the php script, the id = $forum[forumid] <br>
before the php script, the phrase = $forum[ads]...

We've included a php file in vb 3.0.1 using the following in the phpinclude_start template:

ob_start();
include_once('path//_inc_myfile.php');
$included_file = ob_get_contents();...

I know I can view the forum ID number by using

<p>$forum[forumid]</p>

If I add a new column to this table called 'ads', how can I view the data?

This doesn't work

How can I include a file that resides on the same server

in the postbit template (or any other template) how can I do something like:

Query table before showing the page

We'd like to create a table called t_ads with 2 columns
1) Forum_ID
2) htmlAdCode

Before any thread shows, we' like it to lookup the Ad code for that forum and show it in the "postbit" template...
