Yes, the watermark will be there. The image is altered at the time its displayed, but not altered on the drive itself.

Not true. WIth some simple .htaccess rules, all the links can be 301 redirected to the original vBulletin style URLs if you ever wanted to go back to "plain" vBulletin.
