Thankyou for your help, i have established that the problem was caused by faulty unzipping of the files.

Hope this helps others who have a similar problem.

All message titles and messages will be affected....

Ok i take your point Lynne, the initial thread your quoting, related to what i believed was a mod - (product fault), after a process of elimination i think the fault is something to do with my upload...

If you upgrade from 3.8.3 to 3.8.4 and you have a custom skin, do you have to upload the custom skin again/products/plugins etc etc or is it a straightforward process.

I was attempting to change the colour of my header in the header template, I copied the original just in case it did'nt work.

Tried the amended header - all i changed was all the colour settings...
