Can't stay logged in with cookies.

I recently upgraded to 3.0.3. However, anytime I visit my site and am unactive for a little bit, it'll log me out. Anytime I close my browser, it'll log me out. I HAVE tried deleting my cookies...

Well, I had to add a $news = " "; before the other two 'cause it kept counting and adding to the $news.
