because thats the way it needs to be set up....

because thats the way it needs to be set up. quite frankly thats none of your concern ( but we have a single sign on set up). can you tell me how to do it or not?

prevent user updates

is there a way i can prevent users from updating their main profile info
i want to prevent them from updating the following fields:

1) user id
2) password
3) email

thanks for the help but there is no "User Registration Options" button or link 9 at least none that i can find ).

where should i see this ( i assume on the left frame w/ the rest of the buttons) ?...

can someone tell me how to turn off the initial "welcome" email
sent by vbulletin when new users are registered.

tryng to remove 2 things from templates

i am trying to remove

1) the registration link
2) the "edit email and password" button

can someone please tell where ( which template(s) ) and what to remove
