I had to reinstall my forum from scratch, and re-insert everything into the database manually into the correct tables etc.

Took me over 2 days. Goodluck...

Yeah 'Remember me' is clicked for most of them, yet the problem is still on-going. I'm an admin and it's fine for me, but any other usergroup gets logged out.

Yeah, basically I upgraded to vB4 and forgot to take a database backup. vB4 then didn't work on our server for some strange reason, so I went back to vB3 and had to insert the whole database manually...
