Well... it seems to be caused by a plugin. I disabled all plugins, then it worked great. Now i'm figuring out, which plugin caused the trouble. Probably wp-cache.

I have the same issue (negative counters)....

I have the same issue (negative counters). updating thread counters or post counters didn't have an effect, too.

Why don't you disable open directory listing, or just upload a blank "index.html"-file to this folder?

nobody can access your directory then without knowing the exact filenames.
