What happens when a user "Likes" a post/thread that isn't in a publicly-accessible section of the forum?

Is there any way to show the "Like" button for public threads/posts only?

Detailed Admin Log

Currently, the admin log is very vague. It lists things like "edit template" or "update options". These don't really help me in tracking down the actions of an admin, which is what I need to do.
