Firefox vs IE problem

My forum looks different on Firefox and Internet Explorer. There's an empty space on the right in IE, but works fine in Firefox.

I don't even know where to look for a solution, any ideas?

Home page display sizes...

Tried searching, but couldn't find an answer.

I need to make the "Last Post" part of the home page wider and the "Forum" part narrower. Where is that setting?

It showed 2 already. So I just tried changing it to 1 and 3, refreshed both times and it still looks the same. Any other ideas?

My users don't always resize their pictures...

My users don't always resize their pictures before posting them (almost never) so a lot of scrolling is involved if I stop using thumbnails period. I like the autoresizing feature, so I was looking...

How can I make this work for attached pictures also? It only works on the pictures that are hosted somewhere else and then posted on my forum with [img] tags.
