hmm... after deleting various $spacer_open & $spacer_close, i managed to get only the header of the the showthread to expand. but...

Going crazy trying to change width of threads, pls help!

How do I change the width of my threads as it appears that the width of threads are shorter than that for forums and posts, resulting in a larger unsightly gap between the threads and my sidebar.

actually, wasn't sure what i'm supposed to get, so i modified the .htaccess file to point to forum.php
but i guess that's not the point...
