I found one bad thing - when user leaved chat by closing browser - he will remain in chat forever, that connection still remail in database - i don't know why... what is this bug ?

Nice hack - BUT why you didn't do this as product xml ? it's very simple and now is the right way to making any modifications in templates ! no manual changes... only 2 templates and 1 plugin...

also don't forget to set your variable global in plugin - if you will make plugin!

global $banner;
$banner = .....

otherwise you will not see your variable in some templates.
