Threads awaiting moderation queue not working?

I probably have 100 threads in the admincp threads/posts awaiting moderation queue. I've tried approving them, saving them, deleting them, etc, yet they still remain in this queue.

What gives?...

Ok, I have a lot of little edits done to my default template.

If I add a template later, is there some kind of way to import whatever I edited on my default template over to my new template, or no?
