i have also tested it on my test board with only mod_rewrite + ldm internal function
none of them worked

as far as i know videos are downloadable with...

as far as i know videos are downloadable with several tools if one wants to download them.
but LDM is streaming the files, so it normally shouldn't give out the url.

i your files are on the same...

i'm not sure but i think it would be enough to add XML to the player file types for JW media player ( Filetypes handled: mp3, xml) + maybe you will need to add it in vb attachment table

i think i found the reason why LDM gets slow....
ONLY on pages, where i have set display order for each category, LDM slow down. in other cases it's working as fast as 2.2.8 or maybe faster....
