There are only two ways I have been able to get around this was to either run a dnews server behind my firewall with a suck account from http://www.newshosting.com, or setup a newscache under linux....

Well coming from a YaBB environment, one of the things that my users liked was the fact that read/unread messages were stored on the server, and thefor they could read from any computer- anywhere.......

The converter from YaBB to phpbb is not working correctly. It is dumping some users from the transition with errors, I can only imagine what it might be doing to...
