Is there a mod for 3.7 that will allow member status updates and new threads to be listed on a side column on the front page only?

i commented them out and now the infobar doesn't...

i commented them out and now the infobar doesn't work.
Also the infobar was doing the same thing before i added the second occurrence in the css.
i added it as a troubleshooting step.
