Navbar: Mark new tab as selected?

Hello!

I just added an extra tab (Link to Forumrules "Regeln") to the navbar.
--> See attachment.

Everything works fine, but I don't know how to mark the tab as "selected" as soon as I visit...

... there was a vb advanced plugin for the old version, but this does not work anymore :(

another problem: If I use the "modern - short desription" style I just see a short descripton ... yes, that's what I wanted. But I don't see a "read more" link....
