I have to agree with xStylezx. From SEO and WWW standards points of view, links should be /forum_name/ and /forum_name/thread.htm

I would consider this as a "feature request" :)

That would cause duplication content penalty at google, however you inspired me the solution. To update DC-SEO .htaccess in a way so DC-SEO'ed pages are 302ed to vRewrite ones.

Is there anyway to migrate from DC-SEO-Rewrite to vRewrite (setting 302 redirects from old pages to new pages, etc..)? I am very interested in vRewrite but I dont want to lose my current searching...

I had my giganews account phrozed for that. When your forum get popular, a few of your users will spam newsgroups out of your forum getting your account to be suspended.
