Shadow / gradient edit on forumhome?

Looking to remove the shadows at the bottom of the cells, I want a flat / clean looking forum without the shadows on forumhome and forumdisplay. (see attached)

I am looking for this also, have tried a few variations but not having any luck. It's the biggest complaint I have from my members. They just want a link for New Threads like we have for New Posts.
