Wow, thanks for the responses.

He did back it up, and when he ran upgradex.php it stated there was a "slight problem with the database" and to hit refresh or some such.

Well, to make a long story short... we ended up with a corrupt database. Now, luckily, there is only 63 users on the site so far (since it's new) and we can add them manually w/o having them...

We would like to upgrade our forums to vBulletin, but we also would like to keep the posts and registered users in the database, is that possible?
