Ohh how i hate phpbb
 

Ok i used to use phpbb all the time for every forum i had (which was alot). But i have since upgraded to vb... how ever i have a new forum i want to get started, and don't have the funds for vb at the time...so right now i have phpbb going on it, then i will convert it later...

I hate how you have to do so much to phpbb to get it to be anything near what vb is out of the box. Such as 30 minutes to install a quick reply mod...a 60 min+ mod to have the file attachment mod...everything is such a headache...So i decided to keep the forum very plain as far as mods till i can get my vb then i'll be happy once again.... Some people would rather spend hours on hours modding their phpbb for free, i would rather just buy the license for 160 and save hours of my personal time lol

try MyBB, there's not that many hacks but it's a lot better than phpbb.

Well I already have phpbb set up, and like i said i don't plan on keeping it very long maybe a month (i hope). I just wanted to start bringing in traffic :)

Well if you plan on getting a new board and don't have enough for vb get mybb.

MyBB is quite powerfull and has a lot of features to match vB or Invision. It's gonna be a real popular board in the future if it stays free.

I dont mind the coding...I do mind how un sleek it is.

That's how a lot of them start. Free, until they start to become popular, then they stop being free. ;)

If food and oil where free, lots of other things would be free to ;).

I wasn't complaining, I was just stating a fact. ;)

Well I just decided to get another site started and decided to give mybb a try and I must admit i am impressed with it..... Still love vb though :)
