Not Logged in Message

I have Vbulletin 3.5.0 installed and running and have RealChat installed on my server. I have it where users can log into the chat room with their usernames and passwords from the message board, but they can only do that if their already logged into the message board. Can anyone tell me how to make it detect if their logged in already to the message board, so if they hit chat on the main page it will go to the log in screen and then into the chat room with their username?
