VB Scheduled Task - forum auto on/off?
 
Looking for a way to make a 1 particular forum turn on and off at specific times on my board. I've got no idea how to code this..

I'm asking this because a long time ago our forum..while run by a larger company, had an Insomniac's forum, that would appear and vanish on the boards depending on the time (it would be open to posting between midnight and 6am est), we've duplicated the idea in the past, either by just leaving it open 24/7, or by manually hiding the forum at the proper times..

If it would be easier/possible to just lock and unlock the forum on a set schedule, that would be great too..

If I'm understanding what I'm seeing correctly, it shouldn't be too hard to make a cron to tell the forum when it's a certain time, to lock forum #, and the unlock forum # at the other set time...but then again, I don't know how exactly to code it
