Disable reputation by user?

I've searched to see if this was available but don't see it anywhere. I'm wondering if there's a way to allow users to turn their own rep system on and off. Some of the members on my board get agitated by the system and would like it turned off, but just for them. Is this possible? Thanks!

usergroup permissions > Can Hide Reputation from Others

Set this to YES and it will give them the option in their userCP > Edit Options

they still have a score however, it's just modified and adjusted until they turn it on again.
