Speedy poster hack

Looking for a hack than can prevent load from speedy posting of members. Say a member has limit of 30 post for full day or 10 post per half an hour.

Automaticaly ban the user who continuously trying to exceed the limit.

I'm looking for something similar, except without the banning..

flood control?

You want to limit the number of posts a user can make per day?

I want to limit the number of posts specific users can make per day, or per hour, etc.

There is already a flood control, which specified the minimum number of seconds required between posts. What could be better?

For specific users, not globally.

The whole shouldn't be punished for the few.

So in other words, you want a hack that would allow turning on flood control for specific users? Or maybe better for specific usergroups?

Right, there are some users who like to post as much as they can and i'd like to slow them down.

I had an idea for a plugin that would automatically limit a user based on their past statistics. Aka if a user went over a certain amount of posts in 24 hours, the next 24 hours would limit the amount they could post.

Dynamic post limiting.....that would be cool.

However, just being able to limit how much a specific user (or usergroup) can post would be excellent, although the usergroups might get pretty high.

Dynamic post limiting is easy achievable.
