How to get this extra info back in 3.5.0?

In my 3.0.8 forums I had this extra info in my login info as you can see at attachment 1 you could see in the upper right corner how many users are online at the moment and how many new posts there were.

This was some extra of that skin, but the new skin doesn't have that functionality. Is there anybody who knows how to get back the
There are currently (X) users online
New posts (x)

For the currently users online i tried to insert the phrase

$vbphrase[currently_active_users]: $totalonline

in my login navigation/breadcrumbs but that resulted into problems when i was no longer on my forum home there didn't appear a number.

Any help would be great!
