how do i set instant email notification as default?
 
when people write posts in my forum i want the instant email notification to be selected as default. how do i do that?

If I understand your question correctly, you can go to your vB Administrator Control Panel, scroll down the left frame until you see "Maintenance," expand the "Maintenance" options, click on "Execute SQL Query," chose the drop down box "Automatic Query," which will be in the frame on the right, and select "Instant E-mail Notification." Then click the "Continue" button.

thanks guys :) i am surprised there is no option for setting the user agent on the who's active page..

whomever told you on vb.com to come here is wacked
this is a standard feature the you can configure in your admincp
this site if for custom modifications

anyways, to handle any NEW incoming registrations, go into admincp Options => User Registration Options => Default Registration Options

to make current users be set that way do what teach1st posted
