Help with THemes

I am running 3.0.7 of vbulliten and cant seem to install any themes?? I have down loaded a few provided on this site for example the blue pearl theme and instrucitons as directed

1: Upload images to "forums/images/bluepearl
2: goto Administration page / Styles & Templates / Import Style XML File / then upload the included XML file

When I do this it looks like it doing something then says complete with no errors but the them does not show up. This same thing has happened to a few that I have tried.

What am I doing wrong here?

Also I have noticed that some themes available on the site do not have an install.txt file and my question is how do you know where to place the image folders??

Please help :disappointed:

(psst... wrong forum ;))
And by the looks of it, it seems you are doing it correctly, from what I know anyway. Some themes don't have an installation instructions file because it's the same for all themes. Upload the image folder in your /images/ folder, and import the xml file for it.

Daniel,

I am uploading all the images to the images folder under the them name like this
1: Upload images to "forums/images/bluepearl

bluepearl is the name of the theme this is the directions on one of the themes with instructions? Should I not add the /bluepearl directory and just dump them in the images directory? If so what happens if I have multiple themes and the image names are the same?

Can someone PLEASE help me here.. I have tried to install serveral themes but cant seem to get them to work. When I search for the xml file and click install it appears to be doing some thing them comes back and says what templates it's modified but no new theme shows up. I get no errors??? What am I doing wrong. :o
