vb.org Archive - mixing vb with non-vb site?

so im aquiring a rather large site from somebody whos tired of it. its not vb based and doesnt have a forum. i want to fold all the content of this site into my existing vb based site. my question is, how can i integrate all the additional content into vb?

is there some way to controll access to external directories through vb's usergroups/users?

is there a way i can import html pages into threads? its mostly just text files and news artcicle content, there not alot of graphics.

any suggestions appreciated! thanks!
