The Style: goes by what's in your User CP settings, not what you selected from the quick switch.

additionally, the quick selector on every page is stored in a cookie to reduce the query it would take to change your settings. thats why if you logged in on a new computer you get set to default style again. if you change your usercp settings as well, then that will become your new default, and youll see that upon logging on on the new comp
