will custom code suffer on upgrade from 3.0.7 to 3.5?
I have written a few pages that interact with some functions of vb 3.0.x. things like using vb's pager for my data or managing what user can access and stuff like that. these pages all live outside of my forums directory and most of the pages are structured similar to this tutorial: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=62164
will i have problems with my pages when i upgrade to 3.5? i really want to keep my vb license up-to-date and access all the cool things released in 3.5 but i'm really worried i might have to rebuild my custom pages. eric |
In 99,99% of all cases theyx will not work and have to be re-written/ported.

:( and what does it take to be in that .01%?

waht does the Reporting take?????????? I have a whole CMS And chat system i cant use with 3.5 how do we port it?

Impossible to give a general answer. It will depend a lot on the code what needs to be done and how much work it is.
