How do I "plugin" my hack?
 

I have a hack I made in vb 3.09 that adds another header in certain forums to display non vb info from the database. I wish to port it over to vb 3.50 but haven't got my head around all this hook and plugin stuff yet. Obviously the template modification will not change much. But what hook do I use? How do I get it to run my PHP code and get the info from the db?

Until we know more details of where the code is going to go, we can't offer much help. What files and location is it in now?

It's another header below the main header at the top of each page. Currently the template is called Just below $navbar in FORUMDISLAY. The php is called in phpinclude_start.

I used forumdisplay_start as the hook and it seems to work good.

Is there a list posted somewhere of what each hook does?

Why does this forum merge my new post into the last post????

I got this working good in FORUMDISPSLAY and FORUMHOME. How do I get it to only work in when a specific style is loaded and not in the others?
