View Archive Version In Thread Tools

It just adds a url in thread tools (showthread) to the archive version of that thread.

So if you was viewing http://www.yoursite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1234

You would click thread tools and click view sitemap version thats takes you to:

http://www.yoursite.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-1234.html

This is good for people that want to view thread as cut down version and good for SEO, creating a link back.

If you do not understand, then please view screenshot.

If you installed this then please click INSTALL

Should work with all vbulletin 3 version.

I will provide support of this code providing you reply to this thread and its not answered elsewhere.

I can see some good uses for this, thank you for sharing it.

I still don't understand exactly what this does. :(

updated information, sorry had a bad night.

I'm guessing that when you wrote this code, you missed the SHIFT key, because the URL the hack generates for the archive version of the thread goes to /archive/index.php/t-1234.html, when it should go to /archive/index.php?t-1234.html. ;)

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/archive/i...p/t-95663.html

Where's the ? in the achive url?

VaaKo 10-05-2005 10:12 AM

will this hack bring spiders to my web?

JJR512 10-05-2005 02:25 PM

It won't bring them to your website, but it might make it easier for them when they do get there, or it might get more of your content on that spider's index.

If you want to get more spiders going to your site more often, put a link to your website in your signature. That can also help boost your ranking. The more links to your site, the more ways there are for spiders to get there.

I guess this is not good for me
I need a mod that allows spider search like the SEO

ukbill69 10-05-2005 05:20 PM

I made this mod, for people that wanna see the archive version of thread and also does create more backlinks, meaning better ranking for that thread.
