Starting a new forum soon
 

Hiya,

I'm going to open up a new forum soon.

It's going to be sports related and have discussions, chat, forums of course..... :D It will be about several different sports.....

How would you all go about finding moderators for a brand new site with 0 members. I'm wanting people that will post, invite, and be very knowledgable in the sport of the forum they mod....

Any suggestions would be appreciated! :)

Simple, think how you want to run your board and what extra functions you would need to do so. Then go search for modifications that can help you with that.

Don't go install hacks just for the fun of installing them.

I think you might have misunderstood..... :D I'm wondering how folks have gone about finding moderators for different forums? Not hacks or modifications. Only one I have planned is VBookie.....I have to find some good folks to start out with to help get people posting...... :)

Members that might make good moderators will turn up on your board, don't worry. When you start you don't need to have a huge staff.

Just run the forum by yourself at the start. Then as members come, moderate those who have the best posts/offer the most to your forum etc.

Who are you finding moderators for again? You cant cross a bridge you havnt got to yet.

I guess he wants help to kickstart off the forum with.

theadminzone is the place for that i think.
