How come I can't download/install anything on here? It says I don't have the priviledges? Shouldn't that be set to Regestered users and higher?

You need to be a registered vbulletin licence holder and have used the email address that you used to purchase vbulletin with. If you have used a different one then you need to add the address you used to register here to the priority support form found in your members area (members.vbulletin.com). Once you have done this is takes up to one hour to update on here.

You see, 1 of my friends gave me the files that he has from his registration and I installed it and I didn't know of that I didn't need a license because he never mentioned anything about it.

And me and him aren't talking any more because he turned into a jack-ass.

Is there a work-around at all or am I forced to go to a different board type if I can't get support here?

That's not something you want to ask around here. All the people that post here are a supporting customer that has a legal license for there vBulletin. Right now your using vBulletin illegally and eventually you will get caught and shut down if you don't buy a license.

Suggestions:
1) Buy a leased license for $85: (http://www.vbulletin.com/order/)
2) But a owned license for $160: (http://www.vbulletin.com/order/)
3) Use a free bulletin software with less support ;)

Without a license, you shouldn't be using the vBulletin software, so you cannot get access to downloads here. The only work-around is to buy a vBulletin license or be "friends" with this guy who gave you the software, who shouldn't have anyway as that's not allowed.
