Adding custom field to new threads?
I have a VBulletin 3.0.9 setup and I'm trying to add a field that users can fill out when they're making a new thread.
There's of course the Title and Message fields, but I'd like to add a "Your Name:" field and have their entry appear when the thread is posted. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! |

NICE! One of my favorite hacks now.

What they are sarcastically trying to tell you is that you posted your question in the wrong forum.
But to help you, there are a couple ways to go about this, but I am not entirely sure of what you need. Do you want this field to be different every single time they post? Like a "now listening to" field? Or do you want it to stay the same for each post, like a "real name" field that would show up in their posts? |
It was fun though.

@all who thought it was needed to make funny/sarcastic remarks.
Please use the report button if a post is in the wrong forum. No need to make these remarks. |
