Best CMPS?

I am currently using vBindex on my site, but due to the discontinuation of development and the fact that many mod authors do not have addon modifications for VBindex, i am thinking of changing.

Which is the best CMPS? (Ease of use, modification, security, etc.)

Note: I mean a vBulletin CMPS, not one of the other ones.

I dunno, I use subdreamer and it seems to have the options I need and the customer support is kickass! I go by twitch at http://www.subdreamer.com

Good luck in finding the best portal CMPS, if there is such a thing :)

can vBadvanced CMPS be set up in seperate directories from vB?

for example i would like to have the CMS in www.mysite.com/main/
and the vB forum in www.mysite.com/forums/

Is this possible?

yes, you can do that easily. matter of fact, I think its defaulted to be set up like that.

I used to use vBadvanced CMPS until I came to know about Subdreamer
http://www.subdreamer.com/downloads

They have a free "Lite" version that does damn near everything you need, including forum integration

Thanks for the reply :) i have some other questions if you don't mind.I hope the person who made this thread doesnt mind as well.

First thing i already have vBadvanced gallery which i know will work fine with the CMS but can i intergrate vBexternal with this CMS instead of using the built in news system?

Also will it allow me to have multiple menu's that can be displayed on certain pages? My site is a fan site covering various things like movies, games, comics, novels, ect and i need each section to have it's own custom menu with custon links that are only displayed on that section. Is this possible?

And finsally my last question.Since i don't want to use any built in features like news, and downloads can these features be disabled?

Thanks alot :)
