A TV Commercial?

If not, do you guys plan on ever having one?

I seriously doubt it, and if they do the only place I suggest putting it is techtv or something.

I've never really understood how something like vB could ever be advertised other than word of mouth or simple interest. The problem is that vB is just (essentially) a collection of PHP files, and it's not something concrete that you can touch, like a computer. It also isn't something hugely known, like Photoshop.

although a collection of PHP files that is making them all very comfortable financially ;)

I know that. I'm just saying that software is generally hard to make television advertisements for, especially Web-based products.

This is true.

The average TV watching crowd has no interest in this and it would be a waste of Jelsofts money. Now if Google or someone comes out with user targetted TV ads then it would be a different story :D.

All the forums themselves are advertisements. Any potential forum administrator could see a VBulletin forum and want it for him/her self. :D

*Camera pans over beach somewhere on the North Carolina coastline, as the camera approaches a house just off a beach loud music can be heard playing*

*Camera cuts to inside of the house, Asian women fill the room all wearing sailor fukus and dancing to generic dance music (so we didn't have to pay the RIAA any money).*

*Camera pans to Brad sitting in his lazy-boy chair enjoying the view or perhaps a lap dance if the censors will let it pass. Brad gives the thumbs up and says 'vBulletin, it's that good'*
